Water Bottle Dilemma...People need to find out the REAL facts!

What did we do BEFORE water bottles?
We may have to re think how we hydrate ourselves daily...
With pollution concerns and expense in producing.

• Did you know it takes 1.5 million barrels of oil to produce bottles for the bottle industry in the United States alone. That would be enough oil to power 100,000 cars for a year!
• In some Asian countries the used plastic bottles are incinerated, adding to the world's carbon emissions.
• Not ALL plastic is recyclable...
  

Around the world, campaigns to ban bottled water are under way as consumers become more aware of environmental and economic costs involved.

What can we do to stay hydrated without grabbing that cold water bottle form the fridge?

Del Sur Recycling Opportunity!

Those of us who live in Del Sur are probably still getting used to having our interior and exterior lighting be 90% energy efficient/florescent!
Many of our homes are approaching 2 years NEW and we are having to replace some of these long lasting and energy efficient bulbs!

The Ranch House in Del Sur just off of Camino Del Sur has recently opened a recycling station for all those used florescent light bulbs so we can be sure they are disposed of carefully to preserve our fragile environment.

Please stop in at the Ranch House during normal business hours to drop off your burned out bulbs!

Also keep in mind that Home Depot has a HUGE selection of energy efficient interior and exterior replacement florescent bulbs! They also have a display in the Carmel Mountain store which shows you what type of lighting you will receive from the different bulbs so you purchase from them. My favorite is the "daylight" bulb that I think mimics the look of the incandescent lighting I am used to in my main living spaces.

Please do your share! Besides LIVING GREEN, let's RECYCLE GREEN and drop those used light bulbs off at the Ranch House so they get disposed of safely and properly!
